Privacy Policy
Effective August 9, 2026. Plain English, because you should be able to read this one.
What we collect
When you submit a request we collect the name, email, phone number, service type and message you give us. When you use Ask a Car Dog we process the question you type so we can answer it.
We don't ask for your Social Security number, driver's license number or financial account details, and you shouldn't send them to us.
Why we collect it
To answer your question, and — only if you asked for it — to introduce you to a partner who can help with what you described.
Who we share it with
A partner receives your details only when you ask us to connect you, and only the partner relevant to your request. Partners agree to contact you solely about that request and are not permitted to resell or redistribute your information.
We also use service providers that make the site work — hosting, database, email delivery and the AI provider that powers Ask a Car Dog. They process data on our behalf.
We do not sell your personal information.
How long we keep it
We keep request records while they're useful for helping you and for our own record-keeping. You can ask us to delete yours at any time.
Your choices
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your information, or to stop contacting you. Ask a partner to stop contacting you and they must stop; if they don't, tell us and we'll handle it — and likely remove them from the network.
Send us a request through the contact form and we'll take care of it.
Cookies and analytics
We use only what's needed to run the site and understand aggregate traffic. We don't run cross-site advertising trackers.
