Terms of Use

Effective August 9, 2026.

What Car Dogs does

We give free automotive guidance and, if you want it, introduce you to a partner business. We're not a dealer, lender, repair shop, insurer or insurance agent, and we don't sell vehicles or policies.

What our advice is and isn't

Guidance from Car Dogs — including answers from Ask a Car Dog — is general information, not a formal appraisal, inspection, legal advice, tax advice or a guarantee of any price or outcome. Verify anything important with a qualified professional, and get any safety concern inspected in person.

Partner introductions

Advice is always free. If you choose to talk to a partner, they pay us a referral fee. That fee pays for the free advice and funds our dog support. You never pay Car Dogs. Any transaction you enter into is between you and that business, on their terms. We don't control their pricing, inventory, workmanship or decisions, and we're not a party to your agreement with them.

We do hold partners to published standards. If one falls short, tell us — we take it seriously.

Using the site

Don't submit false information, submit someone else's details without permission, scrape or overload the site, or use it for anything unlawful.

Content

Our content, brand and marks belong to us. Your submissions stay yours; you give us permission to use them to help you and to improve how we help people.

Limits of liability

The site and our guidance are provided as-is, without warranties. To the extent permitted by law, Car Dogs isn't liable for indirect or incidental losses arising from your use of the site or from your dealings with a partner business.

Changes

We may update these terms; the effective date above will change when we do.
