Buy a Car
Ontario has the inventory. We'll help you use it.
With this many stores inside a few miles, an Ontario shopper has more leverage than almost anywhere in the region — and more chances to be talked into the wrong deal. Tell us what you're looking for and we'll help you compare the same vehicle across stores honestly.

What you get
- We start with your budget and payment comfort, not a sticker price.
- New, used, certified pre-owned — we help you compare honestly.
- Financing questions answered in plain English before you sign anything.
- No auto-dialers. A real person follows up the way you ask us to.
Watch out for
- Cross-shop at least two Ontario-area stores on the identical VIN and trim. Dealer-dense markets reward it more than anywhere else.
- Watch for accessories already installed on the unit along the auto-center rows — wheels, tint and protection packages are often priced as non-negotiable when they're not.
- Freeway-heavy west-end commuting means tire and brake cost by trim matters as much as the MPG number.
- Ask for the out-the-door buyer's order by email. In a market this dense you can shop it against the next store without sitting through a second pitch.
Every connection we make helps support dogs looking for their forever homes.

A couple of details is all it takes to get a real answer.
Use Ontario's dealer density instead of fighting it
The advantage here is that you rarely have to accept one store's number. Used inventory rotates between Inland Empire dealers through the same auction pipeline, so identical vehicles appear across the west end with four-figure spreads in asking price. On new cars, the same effect shows up as allocation: the store that doesn't have the trim you want will often price harder to keep the sale.
The way to convert that into money is boring and effective. Pick two comparable vehicles at two different stores, ask both for a written out-the-door total by email, and let them respond to each other. You never have to raise your voice or spend a Saturday in a showroom.
- Compare out-the-door totals, not advertised payments or monthly specials.
- Ask whether installed accessories — wheels, tint, protection packages — can be removed from the price.
- On used cars, ask for the history report and the reconditioning notes before you drive out.
Buying a work vehicle around Ontario
If you're shopping a van, half-ton truck or high-mileage commuter for warehouse or delivery work, the priorities change. Duty cycle matters more than model year, service records matter more than cosmetics, and payload and cooling capacity matter more than features. Ontario has genuine supply of these vehicles, which also means genuine variance in how they were treated.
- Ask what the vehicle did before it hit the lot. Ex-fleet units can be excellent buys when they were serviced on schedule.
- Have brakes, tires, cooling system and transmission fluid condition assessed before you commit.
- Confirm your insurance will cover the intended use before you sign, not after.

We don't have a published partner page for Ontario yet. That doesn't slow you down — tell us what you need and a Car Dog will vet the right local shop, dealer or agent for your specific job before we hand you off. If it doesn't pass our check, we say so.
Questions Ontario drivers ask us
How many Ontario dealers should I get quotes from?
Two is enough to change the price; three is plenty. The point isn't volume, it's that no store is your only option and they know it.
Can I get dealer-installed accessories removed from the price?
Frequently, yes. Even when the item is already on the car, the charge is negotiable. Ask them to remove the charge rather than the product.
Is an ex-fleet van a bad buy?
Not at all, if it was serviced on schedule — fleet maintenance is often better documented than private ownership. Ask for the records and have the wear items inspected.
Will you tell me if the deal I found is bad?
Yes, plainly. We don't own inventory, so there's no version of this where we benefit from you buying the wrong car.
